  • About
    Yiming Zhang is a graduate student specializing in Physical Geography at Peking University, with a research focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation. Yiming has demonstrated exceptional academic and extracurricular achievements, being awarded the prestigious National Scholarship and featured in the Peking University 2024 Graduates' Highlights Exhibition. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Graduate of Higher Education in both Beijing Municipality and Peking University and was named a Merit Student Pacesetter at Peking University, ranking in the top 1% of his peers. His accolades also include an Honorary Degree and the ‘Weiming Research’ Honorary Degree in Geography, as well as the First Prize of the Peking University Scholarship, awarded twice for ranking first in comprehensive evaluations. Additionally, Yiming was a recipient of the Huang Tingfang Outstanding Student Overseas Exchange Scholarship and earned distinctions such as the Outstanding Student Essay of Peking University and Outstanding Volunteer at Peking University. His academic excellence extends to national competitions, where he won the First Prize in the National University GIS Application Competition. Beyond his research, Yiming is deeply committed to climate change education and public outreach, aspiring to bridge the gap between scientific research and societal understanding to inspire informed action against climate change.
